The Pwint Thit Sa project, also known as Transparency in Myanmar Enterprises (TiME), is intended to encourage increased transparency by Myanmar businesses.

As part of its programme of enhancing Myanmar companies’ understanding of international standards and transparency, MCRB recently organised two half-day workshops in Yangon with a human rights and business focus.

The first, on 22nd October, focussed on how to develop a human rights policy. It was attended by 41 participants, mostly from Myanmar companies, including staff  working in human resources, compliance, community and corporate relations, and communications.

The presentation and discussion covered the Pwint Thit Sa project, which human rights are relevant to business and what a corporate  human rights policy for business looks like, as well as international standards, including the UN Global Compact and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
