Responsible Investment, Economic Reform And Peace-Building in Myanmar

This paper on Responsible Investment, Economic Reform And Peace-Building in Myanmar was prepared in 2017 after the Rohingya crisis as an internal working paper for MCRB's donors to summarise activities by Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business, and future opportunities in the field of investment, conflict and peace.

It highlighted specific challenges relating to business in areas affected by conflict; identified the potential for Myanmar’s regulatory framework to promote responsible investment and local community participation; outlined MCRB’s activities which could be considered to be supporting peace-building in Myanmar; and identified future opportunities for MCRB engagement. It remains relevant to ongoing discussions about federalism in Myanmar.
