MCRB and MIDO
MCRB and Myanmar ICT for Development Organisation (MIDO) have written to H.E. U Thaung Tin, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to encourage systematic public consultation on the draft Telecom Master Plan and future legislation on cyber security and lawful interception.
This follows a debrief to CSOs on 4 June after MCRB attended MCIT's Initial Consultation on the Telecoms Masterplan on 14th May 2015 and the fact-finding mission on Cyber Crime and Electronic Evidence on 20th May 2015. MCRB and MIDO are seeking to ensure broader awareness of ICT issues.
