MCRB builds local media capacity

As part of its commitment to building dialogue between business and civil society, MCRB worked with the British Council and Internews’ J-School in Yangon to deliver a training programme for a group of local journalists from 17-21 February 2014.

As part of its commitment to building dialogue between business and civil society, the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business worked with the British Council and Internews’ J-School in Yangon to deliver a training programme for a group of local journalists from 17-21 February.

During the training programme, which was funded by the British Embassy’s Prosperity Fund, journalists learned about responsible business, EITI and good practice in communities engagement in the extractives sector, and were able to interview several oil and gas companies established in Myanmar.
